Light bulbs, anyone?

What a wonderful morning! The sun is shining, the skies are bright, the weather is cool. I feel fresh! I was supposed to blog last night, but I skipped dinner and slept the whole night. Let me see, 7+pm - 7+am. Ok that’s +/- 12 hours *smiles*

Heard about the fatal accident of an express bus, killing 20 lives last Monday? That was one big-fat-ass-shocking story. Who is to be blamed? The driver himself? Or rather, the bus? I felt so sorry for the victims and the victims’ family members. Nobody wants it to happen, but it did. Melancholy will fade as time passes by.

All this while, I’ve been asking my dad about lots of things, including the reasons for not having a luminous expressway. I mean as in all along the way. Dad said it consumes a lot of power. Well, that is true. But, we paid for everything else to use the roads here, be it toll fares or road taxes. Where had all the money gone? Adding an extra lane? Road maintenance?

If one say it’s a waste of money, then the next question is “Lamp posts are to be lit only at night, aren’t they?” You don’t have to put bulbs so close to one another to keep a bright road. Perhaps one every 50 meters?

If only part of the money is used to install lamp posts along the expressway, the chances of accidents (night journeys) will definitely decrease. I know this sounds ridiculous, “Where on Earth, an expressway is ever lit up?” But, wouldn’t it be much safer for drivers who often steer their wheels at night, especially the ones with a number of passengers or the ones with heavy loads? Accidents decreased. Lives saved. Less worries. Lights keep us awake, give us attention. Yea?

Big exceptions for those who don’t pay full attention while driving or speeding like mad dogs. Road rules are to be obeyed. You offend it, then it’s your problem. Who cares if you die? But we care for those innocent lives who died for no reasons. They’re dead because other vehicles crashed into them.

I used to be sleeping in the car and didn’t bother about the life of a night driver. Once, I drove from KL back to Penang and it’s my first time and it’s a night trip. I was awake and alert. Actually Kor was sleepy, so I took his position. I was shocked because I didn’t know it could so dark when there’s not a single car on the road. No wonder people tend to be so sleepy. Then I thought, it could be better if there’s lamp posts everywhere, instead of the junctions turning into some towns. The scariest part was when there were lorries, carrying loads and were slow in motions. Gosh, sometimes I couldn’t see them as it’s too dark and the bulbs on the lorries weren’t bright enough to catch attention.

Whatever it is. I’m just voicing out my thoughts. Never meant to criticize or offend. That’s all for now. Chiaoz ;)

Inconsiderate Inhabitants

Why do we have thoughtless people lingering around? Didn’t they ever take in account about how other people’s feelings? They can’t just simply take things for granted and assume that other people would actually sympathize them, can they? Deadlines are around the corner and projects are almost done. It’s a total unfairness when those who don’t have their own groupings to slide in their names as one of the contributors, right? Many gave me the same comment, which is, “There’s always this type of problem that will occur in every colleges/unis.” Why so? Why can’t they try to co-operate for good? At least get the problem resolved before it’s too late. Sigh.

We wanted to help, but it’ll be a little unfair to us. We never meant to be merciless, but it’s not a feasible move to take by putting you, the less-job-done worker, in the list of names. What should be done to deal with this?

Anyway, work work work. I’m having flu, throat’s irritated. Viral attack, perhaps. Oh well, one sickly nutty girl. *Sneeze Sneeze* Excuse me. Feeling the muscle pain from gym yesterday. Sneezes is causing abdominal pain. Argh.

It’s driving me crazy. *Sneeze*

What a Superb Presentation!

I’m just gonna copy and paste.

Well well well, we all had a wonderful time in yesterday’s critical thinking’s presentations, didn’t we? Hot discussions on Pre-marital SEX, what about it? I personally think it doesn’t matter for me if it’s right or wrong because it really depend on how an individual interpret it. Everybody has sexual desires, nobody can prove to me that’s a wrong statement, can you? But then it’s totally wrong if you do it for the sake of getting side-incomes (lah). Right or not? Despite the concept where Pre-marital SEX is absolutely wrong, religiously, I can’t say much (lah) because it’s not a good to bring in religions into discussions. If it’s so wrong, then both genders shouldn’t be any near to each other, as in separate them into 2 different islands; M island and F island. Ridiculous, I know, but it’s just a thought that crossed my mind. Forget about all the gift of virginity, like what Dr. Carmen said. Gift of virginity doesn’t exist anymore in today’s world, doest it? What’s running in your mind when Pre-marital SEX is being talked about? People who didn’t comment much in the discussions can feel free to post your opinions here.

Anyway, the title of this post is meant for the double J’s (Juliana and Jeannie (lah) who else?) presentation about Abortion. I have to say this, it’s a damn fantastic speech. The opening from Ju could actually evoke the weak side of a person, i.e. being sad for the babies on the performance of abortion. I saw your tears, Ju. Humans are evil, especially doctors whom perform the act of abortion. Err, let me correct that, it should be the person who first thought of the way to abort a baby from a mother’s womb by suctions. Try googling (google-ing) it, tonnes of information and debates about it. Horrifying act, killing a baby in a safe way, legally? Well, I’ve always thought that abortion only happens when the live of a mother is in danger during pregnancy. From a mother’s point of view, she can say that “I can abort the baby to save my life now, and I can conceive again later in life.” But from a baby’s, “You have me and now you want to take my life away?” That’s what’s being discussed yesterday. Imagine if you were the baby who’s head detached from the body, brains sucked out from the skull. How would you feel? I’m terribly sad and still feeling sad about it. Anyone thinks like I do?

Disturbia

A bunch of peeps went for a movie - Disturbia on Wednesday at One U after grammar’s lecture. Guess who were those peeps. They’re none other than the dudes from EL Year1 Sem2! Haha! From right, Michelle, the number 1 fan of Shia Labeouf “beef from God?” =P, Mei Sim, Yvon, I, Ah Chee, Anthony and Kah Joon. Shan was there with her boyfriend too but they were watching Harry Potter.

We were thrilled with the actions from the movie. We were sitting right in the middle of the cinema hall and I sat between Yvon and Ah Chee. Let me quote something from someone “I better finish my Chicago Beef before my hotdog flies out of my hands.” Another one. “I waited until my popcorn finish ady.” One more, one more. This one is indirect quote “Yvon mentioned to me that Anthony said we were like shopping when we’re buying food from the counter.” Hahaha!

I’m too lazy to type out the synopsis of the story when you can get it from the world of cyber space. Here it is. =P The suspense of the story scares us down to our spines. Let’s reveal some of the actions happened during the movie. Ah Chee was screaming her lungs out, Yvon and I were cursing like hell and close our eyes at times! Haha! I can’t see what the rest were doing, but I bet they’re too can’t sit comfortably while witnessing the thrill! Funny!

Disturbia

Another worth watching film. Watch it if you haven’t (does this sound familiar? =P). Time to do some work now. Did you ever notice that I always end my blog with “I wanna do work.”? It seems work is never done! Well, it is, because there’s too many to do. So, that’s about it. Chiaoz ;)

Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix

I’ve anticipated for this moment for quite a long time already. I’ve always wanted to watch this episode of Harry Potter’s but I just didn’t have the chance to. I don’t call myself a real hardcore fan of Harry Potter but I’m just an ordinary person who follow the chapters. I watched every single movie they launched. But one weird thing is, I don’t read the books before this. Many discouragements which stopped me from buying them, especially when the prices are quite unbearable back then. I didn’t demand for it and my intention was turned off, so I obeyed what I was told too. The best thing I could do was to borrow the books from friends, that is, if only they are willing to. Sadly, I didn’t read any of them, even though I have 2 of them now; Half Blood Prince and Order of The Phoenix. Both of them were given by my cousin sister-in-law; Mun Yee. Lotsa thanks to you!

Ahh crap. Let’s talk about the movie. What about the movie? *lol*

Young wizard-in-training Harry Potter returns to Hogwarts for his fifth year of studies, only to find that the magical community seems to be in a curious state of denial about his recent encounter with the sinister Lord Voldemort. Rumor has it that the dreaded Lord Voldemort has returned, but Minister for Magic Cornelius Fudge isn’t so sure what to make of all the hearsay currently floating around the campus of Hogwarts. Suspecting that Headmaster Albus Dumbledore may be fueling the rumors regarding Voldemort’s return in order to undermine his authority and lay claim to his job, Fudge entrusts newly arrived Defense Against the Dark Arts professor Dolores Umbridge with the task of tracking Dumbledore and keeping a protective watch over the nervous student body. The young wizards of Hogwarts will need something much more effective than Umbridge’s Ministry-approved course in defensive magic if they are to truly succeed in the extraordinary battle that lies ahead, however, and when the administration fails to provide the students with the tools that they will need to defend Hogwarts against the fearsome powers of the Dark Arts, Hermione, Ron, and Harry take it upon themselves to recruit a small group of students to form “Dumbledore’s Army” in preparation for the ultimate supernatural showdown.

Okay, I have to cite my source. Hehe. It’s taken from this website;
