Treasure them, parents
bla bla bla March 21st, 2008Parents? Mom and Dad. Who are they? People who once chose to give us one precious gift; our lives. Yes, god created us, but where would we be if they did not choose, did not choose to bore us? Nine months of pregnancy is not an easy task, all the way from the morning sickness in the earlier stages until the birth of us, little cute babies in birthday suits looking out to the world. The warmth touch from our mothers is just what we need to keep us comfortable at all times, regardless of our level of maturity.
Over the years, from childhood - teenage-hood - adulthood, there are times we feel like rebelling, which I think this is a normal stage where every child goes through this. We might hate them for not allowing us to do some of the things which they regard them as bad. We even did things without their knowledge. (Admit it.) Rascals, they call us. No matter how wrong we could be, they are willing to forgive us but first we gotta take the first move to initiate an apology. None can be as great-hearted as them, believe me. They always want the best for us, think again, shouldn’t we disregard them?
Of course you know there is a big age gap between us and our parents. How to make that to be a closer one? Yes, it is hard to do and I cannot answer that too because it is very subjective, the way you treat your parents is different from my way.
What prompts me to blog about this is notion about our parents moving along to their next lives. The worst thing is we do not know when that is going to happen. It could be the next minute or the minute after the next minute. Living in a different state now is tough because I do not get to see them as much, isn’t that a little pity? Yes it is. Treasure them every moment for you will know they’re gone before your eyes. I wanna go home! I miss both mom and dad so much.
As for you, you remain as my best-est friend, ever, and also the one person that i knew to have that similar date.
Cherish the people around you because every moment is so precious that you’ll be regretful for not. This is for you, Peter, welcome to my life.
