If you’re a fan of Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Freddie Highmore, and you’re into music, you should watch August Rush. This movie has been nominated in the Oscars. All I can say is it’s worth to watch though I got emotional over it. Thanks to Michelle who recommended me this movie. And thanks for making me go cryin’ like a baby. :D

JC: Got a guy climbed at the roof la. Faster see.

Mi jumped out of her bed and check out the time.

Mi: What time now? 1145pm?

JC: He sure want to curi barang.

Mi: How you know got people there?

JC: I can smell perfume ma, I thought it’s the girl in the other room came back. Manatau I heard like a cat walking on the roof la. Some more the curtain you clip there jatuh ma. Sekali I turn and see the window, got one man there know!

Mi: Then he saw you or not? (JC turned off the lights and was ready to sleep.)

JC: He saw then he angkat his tangan like say sorry like that.

Mi: Sorry what? Crazy ah?

JC: Ehhh come come come and see. He climbing other people’s house la…!

Mi: Where where? Cannot see also.

JC: Yerrr, how to sleep ah if like that? Damn scared la..

Mi: Yalor yalor. Eh, we turn on the lights and sleep la.

JC: Later he can see us sleeping wor.

Mi: Windows closed dy ma, cannot see wan. I get ready the aerosol insecticide spray first, he comes some more I terus spray on this face.

JC: Ok ok.

_____________________________________________________________

Panic as we were last night, we couldn’t sleep. JC has been in and out the bathroom for several times, worrying the man might come back. I was a little blurred because I was already sleeping and didn’t expect things like this would happen. My heart was thumping so hard as if I was captured by an monster. Lying down on the bed, all I could think was how brutally I would attack the man. I thought of stabbing his hands using a pair of scissors, while spraying the insecticide in his eyes.

At another point, I thought JC had some illusions. You know things like scaring ownself. She’s the only one who saw everything, the man, the curtain, the smell of the cologne. I didn’t smell it when she noticed the smell again. When she asked me to look over at the other house where the man was climbing, I couldn’t see any. Perhaps I shouldn’t doubt just because I didn’t see it with my own eyes.

Sigh, precautions are much necessary right now.

Two Weeks Holiday for Them

A: Them? Who?
B: Those people working at the Chinese food shop in Section 14 (opposite Kemaman Kopitiam).
A: Eh seriously? Why?
B: Inspection by MBPJ. They said the premise and the workers are not clean.

Food hygiene is the most vital in our daily lives. The definition of ‘food hygiene’ can be varied from one individual to another. Workers, food, cutleries, plates, bowls and pots and place where the stalls are located are factors contribute to the cleanliness of how food is served, also one of the requirements that the local council has set in the list of rules and regulations.

About 6.30pm yesterday, my roomie and I decided to walk to the opposite food shop to get some dinner. To our surprise, the shop is closed and there is a stripy red/white string tied around the pillars. Two pieces of papers were sticked at the shutter and it says the shop has been closed down for 14 days by MBPJ for not being clean.

It’s totally unexpected. I thought mamak stalls like those by the roadsides are even more dirty. Customers sitting by the drains, sometimes you can see rats crawling about. (Eww, isn’t it?) How come they aren’t being closed down?

We thought the food is clean all this while. No news about food poisoning, no rats or cockroaches crawling everywhere, nothing at all. It was fine as I have been eating since day 1 I came here.

No more nice food for two weeks. Sien.

CM: How did MPSP use up RM226m from 2000 to 2007?
Bernard Cheah and Opalyn Mok

BUKIT MERTAJAM (April 22, 2008): Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng wants the new Seberang Perai Municipal Council (MPSP) councillors to find out how MPSP’s reserves depleted from RM266 million in 2000 to only RM25.6 million last year.

“This is a surprising and scary figure, for money to disappear in such a short period,” he said at the swearing in ceremony of 23 MPSP councillors here today.

Lim said it would be challenging for MPSP to be financially sovereign and a good financial establishment, but he is positive that the MPSP can pull through.

What I think?

Only 10% left? That’s only like MPSP, mainland’s municipal council, and mainland is like a small town! Do you need that much money? Let’s see what they do with the money.

Local Council Building at Bandar Perda, Bukit Mertajam (see how luxurious they workers could be)

MPSP

Are they paying high for those people work inside the building? Do you think the whole building is occupied?

This is the new building. The old building which is located beside the Mahkamah Seksyen along Jalan Betik is being abandoned. According to this, it is said there were too much noise that made the environment not conducive. Therefore, they should move to a better area where there is less noise. (doh?)

They have got old garbage trucks, untidy garbage bins (those situated by the roadsides), worn-out garbage collectors (I don’t think they are being good paid) etc. I thought they should fix these as they have got a lot of money to spend.

Plus, the summons they have issued for the past few years, where have those money gone? Whose pockets? Thanks to CM Lim Guan Eng who voiced out this matter and hopefully this matter will be solved. I wonder why this matter didn’t rise up for the past few years, is there briberies going on?
