Day #19

Long-holiday over the weekends can sometimes be a major culprit for pupils to rebel.

Day #17

Really struggled with the lesson plans because the interactive software is unavailable. It is so important to me because Cambridge is entirely a new ball game where I do not have any experience at all. They don’t see the urgency of the software. WHY WHY WHY? When your expectation goes too high, other people suffer from it, don’t you know that?

Day #16

How can two lessons be held at the same time and at the same place, and one being PE and the other being C.Trans? I rushed to get a clear mind about it and the only answer that I had was “You have to manage yourself.” That’s too much! I looked for her twice and really I was desperate to have her clarify the matter, still she answered me the same.

SUPER SIGH…

Day #14

Welcome back from the holiday! It was great and it wasn’t enough, can never be!

And I guess it can’t be enough for the kids too. It was not so good when the pupils come to you and say, “Teacher, I’m very sleepy.” or “Teachers, I slept late last night because I just came back from somewhere.” It’s hard to console them too, hence the games in the classroom.

I can now manage the other class but this particular class is giving every teacher a headache. I can’t believe that a teacher had to shout to shush them up and the worst part was they would start back all over again the next minute. It’s never a peaceful class. I’ve got headache and sore throat and don’t forget major stress too. I thought of many ways to fish their attention but it only worked for temporary basis.

Google is my friend, my ‘god’ cos it’s loaded with A-Z info.

Tuesday is going to be a chaotic day. I HOPE NOT!
3 hours teaching in the same class is a tough challenge!
I hope it’s all good.

Day #13

Friday the 13th! Oh well.. Looking at the bright side, it’s the last day of the week and we’re off for CNY break! Woooohooo! Need not to give CNY homework, like YAY! Pupils are happy, teachers are as happy too! ^^

Day #12

Another day to CNY break. Can’t wait.

Pupils enjoyed the 快心樂龍龍 dance. I had lotsa fun with the dance in front of the pupils. I think it’s a good example when teachers are not embarrassed to dance or make mistakes with the presence of pupils. It gives an opportunity to learn not to be so self-conscious too. Love it!

Day #11

My very first time conducting PE – Badminton all alone. Well not really all alone, I do have a partner but a passive one. Well not really passive, but not understanding how to play the game even. All he can do is to chat with the pupils and push them into the court and say “Go that side to practise.” but not really teaching how to. I scratched my head. I just try my very best and do my very best to “produce” good badminton players. I am not a good player too but I’m taking the responsibilities to make sure they know the in and out of the game, at least.

Day #10

It’s the tenth day of school already? Time passes by very fast. Tuesday is a busy day for me. Classes were back to back and in fact, almost everyday I do have them. Hate it actually because I need to rush. Hopefully the new timetable will be a better one.

I have three cheeky boys in my classroom. The ultimate 3-Js I call them. Jonathan, Jeremy and John. They just can’t stop irritating the whole atmosphere in the classroom. The other teachers also faced the same situation. I was thinking, the more attention we give them, the more that they want to do something extraordinary. Giving them the attention is just a waste of time.

Day #9

Today’s the date of my father’s birthday. A day that I always be away from home to celebrate his birthday. It has been five years. The five-year common practice is to give Dad a call to wish him. The only different this year is that my sister and I sent him his birthday gift via PostLaju. :P

Day #8

Glad that the school arranged an extra PE lesson – fitness training for the pupils. At least they can sweat it all out after long long long hours of air-cond in the classroom and in their homes. Parents should at least bring their kids out for a fun time in the park instead of in the shopping mall and just chilling at home. Kids need to do some work out too and they must sweat after that! Too much of comfort in lower temperature places is not good.

Good work out for me too! Hah! Many complained that they were sweating too much and didn’t have the chance to sip in some water. Well, it’s discipline time! Water can be drank five to ten minutes after warm down. Some kids asked for permission to drink water as soon as the instructor started some warm up exercises. Of course the answer was NO. It wouldn’t be a great idea to constantly drink water when we exercise.

The day wrapped up with a positive comment from a girl in my class. She said, “Ms Amy, I love PE classes. I like to exercise.” She sweat so much and yet she enjoyed it. She made up my stressful day. :)
