Road Trip to Malacca

going places 4 Comments »

Since it’s holiday, the foosers decided to make a trip down Malacca for the sake of being too free. I had nothing to do and of course I wouldn’t hesitate to follow them. There were 7 of us (myself, Kor, Rad, Damien kor, Cyrus, *Tanka and Farid) *they were on their way back to Singapore. We were like complete tourists especially when Kor brought out his Canon 350D! Well, of course he was busy with his hobby, capturing every inch of Malacca *lol* and the rest of us just hanging around, did some camwhoring as well.

The first stop was at Tengkera, where we had Mee Sup and Popia Goreng, they didn’t taste as good though, but we were hungry so we ate whatever is served. Their Milo Ais sucks, I can even make better ones =,=” Well, after that, we headed to the historical Stadyus building which is all in red. Nothing much but just taking photos around the area and we had Cendol opposite the road. I still prefer the Cendol nearby my house in BM, taste much nicer with bigger red beans.

Malacca Trip

Next destination was Kota A’famosa. I haven’t been there before or I did, I can’t recall any of it. Anyway, maybe I’d got it mixed up with Fort Cornwallis in Penang. It looks much bigger and nicer compared to Malacca’s one (not being biased but just comparing though, heehee). We climbed up the stairs and some people being lazy and start complaining already! (guess who? haha) There were some crafted stone plates left by those Portuguese and they have Dutch graveyard there. I have no idea what’s on the plates, but I saw the word “Malacca” with its exact spelling is already exist back then. There is also a statue of a one-handed fellow, nicely crafted out of marble. His right hand looked like it was being chopped somewhere the middle part of the arm and another hand is holding a cross. Well, time to look up for more information about Malacca’s history. My memory is bad, I couldn’t remember much about the history that I’d learned back in secondary school *haha*.

It’s dinner time and we went for Satay Celup. Again, I have no idea where is that place =P Satay Celup is so much similar to Lok-Lok, there’s a pot of soup in the middle of the table and we dip the food into it and wait for it to be cooked. So does Satay Celup, the only difference is the pot of soup is actually the Satay’s gravy. Nothing so special though, as I was wondering if I put in the cockles (si harm) into it together with the blood as well as other food, and the gravy will still be in used for the next group of people to eat at the same table. (I hope I don’t downgrade the food, it still taste good) *lolz* The most consumable person is Farid!! He ate like 25 sticks and the total of Satay sticks were 73, summed up to about rm53. Damn big Singaporean eater *haha* We went back to KL after that while Tanka and Farid headed back to Singapore.

Well, I didn’t really enjoy the food though, I’m down with fever, cough and now sore throat. Bad Bad Bad. But it didn’t spoil my day, but having fun with the rest of the gang instead. I’m looking forward for more of this man! Hahaa~ I’m gonna get my lunch now, so Chiaoz ;)

p/s: I haven’t blog about the trip to Sg. Wang/Timesquare with my course mates yet though. I’m lazy! *grins*

Trip to National Library and Avenue-K

Hmm… Let’s talk about the trip to National Library on Wednesday, 7th March. 6 of us (me, Mei Sim, Ching Han, Ivan, Irene and Kah Joon) decided to visit the library to source for our assignment, mainly on Intro to Linguistic. There’s an obvious reason why we went there to source for books or journals which is we need at least 10 references for the whole assignment. Ain’t that alot? Well, we reached there around 330 pm and we had to rush in searching for books cos we didn’t have much time to spend. The worst thing was the books we looked for can’t be borrowed, there’s a sign stating that but I’d forgotten what’s the line. We were like pissed off and quickly find the things that we wanted, but luckily there’s photocopy service, at least it’s not that bad.

Left the library for dinner at KimGary, Avenue-K and it was my first time there. I didn’t know Avenue-K is just opposite of Suria KLCC cos I’ve been in Kinokuniya (books are lovely there! but damn expensive =,=”) We went for a walk in Kinokuniya after our RM100.74 bill in KimGary. As usual, “yin-yong lai cha and sai toh si” (mixed milk tea and french toast) for me, the food I usually order there. Hehehe ~ (uhh, my tummy is growling now ~ *growl*growl* =D) After that, we saw a barber shop called “Quick Cut” and Ching Han wanted to get a little cut on his hair. We waited for him outside and we peeped him as the barber was cutting. He had a frown on his face and he’s not satisfied with the barber’s style. As if she’s in a rush and cut quickly as if there’s 10 people waiting for her, but he’s the only one customer at that time. Poor him -.-

We decided to go back as it’s getting late. The queue was long as me and Irene have to buy the lrt ticket to board the lrt to get home. But we managed to buy them and left at around 730pm. Me and Ching Han were in the lrt and gotta wait until the 12th stop to Asia Jaya LRT Station. That was long. He’s kind enough to accompany me back home cos it’s night time and I’m a little scared of snatch thieves. Gotta treat him something next time, lolz.

Well, the worst thing is that I do not have any camera. Else, I would have posted some pictures! Time to get a camera!!! Haha ;D Time for dinner and some foosball later ~ yay! Chiaoz ;)

KL Trip 25-26 Nov 2006

Once again, I’d get to board onto an aeroplane which is the AirAsia’s Airbus 320. It’s nice to be in the plane as I like the part when it’s taking-off (I wished the whole plane ride is like that lolz). Some said it’s more like a roller-coaster? (which I’d never sat before :P) Well, I just slept in the plane all the way from Penang Airport to LCCT which took 45-55mins. Sadly that the seats aren’t any comfy tho cos, it’s straight-n-narrow seats are built with safety features and what do you expect for cheaper-ranged-airtickets? :D

Oh btw, there was a massive traffic jam on the way back to mainland on Friday which lasted until midnight tho. A big fat ass trailer was overturned in the midst of heading to the mainland. I have no idea how a hundreds tonnes of a trailer could eventually overturn. The driver must be day-dreaming and saw a sexy-bikini suit-devil flying right in front of his windscreen! Sheeesh! Was he lucky to survive or is he swimming with fishes and squids now? Anyway, me and my second sis were anxious about us getting home in time or not cos we’d got a flight to catch! Cars were crawling, stucked in the jam for freaking more than 3 hours, reached home at 830pm and we need to be in airport before 930pm?! How sad >.<" Fortunately, we managed to get through it :)

There were 2 important missions that we need to complete during that trip. 1st was to attend my cousin bro’s wedding and 2nd was to look for places to stay nearby UTAR as my application is successful. It’s my 2nd time to be at a church wedding. The occasion was alright until we showed up at bride’s place where there’s less food to eat, bridesmaid was a bridesmite (happened to be a g@y instead of a sweet pretty young lady) and bestmen had to munch on something like sireh, ginseng and some spices. Yikez! What were those tricks suppose to be?! LoLz XD Well, I was then having a bad migraine, it hurts alot and I felt like vomitting! (maybe the air had invaded into my tummy as I only had ribena drink) >.<" And I did throw out my ribena drink =/

Anyway, after the wedding is done, we then headed to 1Utama for a movie and some window shopping too :P Funny thing was I slept for 10-15mins while watching the movie as the seats are so comfy! Kewl XD ~ Had a yummy Vietnamese lunch which cured my woeful tummy :] Hmm, next thing to do was to shop! I mean window shopping cos things are expensive >.<" {fast forward} We had seafood for dinner ~ SlurpS ~ Crabs + Fish + Prawnz ~ Yum :P

Next day, we went to PJ to look for places to stay (for me). Searched around in section 17 and 14, found some notices in 7-11, some are so freaking expensive (up to RM550) but it’s with the fullest facilities, some are cheap but no facilities and worst thing is it’s not even convinient at all. Sigh. Need to go down again to look for better place to stay or else, I’m gonna suffer >.<"

Well, think that’s all now. Chiaoz ;)

bbq nite out in Batu Feringgi

Hmm.. Finally, the awaited moment has arrived, which is meeting up with Dakie and Zhi Heng all the way from Singapore and the rest of the ppl are from #hsbm86 (too lazy to mention the names/nicks :p). The main purpose was to bbq at the beach and the only source of cooking the food was my bbq set :D if not, they’re gonna dig a hole and set a fire which will never work cos there are so little dried woods around. As soon as the fire was on, everybody started to cook their sausages :P (you know what I meant, don’t you?! XD) and we’re there like cooking stuffs and enjoying the sun set ~ beautiful view (that’s expected when you’re by the beach) ~ The sun sets pretty fast and its getting dark but the only thing that’s missing was the wind ~ no wind at all ~ it’s hot and it’s even hotter when you’re there bbq-ing! LoLz :P It’s really fun there bbq-ing and meeting up with lotsa friends there, I have never met some of them like Dakie, Sly, Steven, Gary, Lumi and Xelco! *Nice meeting up you guys (if you’re reading this)* ;)

Well, the time passed quite slow, it’s never been late whenever I checked the time cos we’re the only people there and it’s so dark and no more sausages! LoLz ~ I only ate a few =/ Those “GayNess-Mind-PeoPle” ate them all!! *No offence aye, I’m just joking :D* There came the moment when Gary started the horrific-ghostly stories! It’s like the 7th month of the chinese calendar and we’re at the beach with a little light and some noises could be really spookie! I had no choice but to ask him to stop! I don’t wanna have spookies nites again… I had nightmares and I’ve been sleeping with lights on as well as my winamp! But it’s better now, lights off and I can sleep soundly.

Mm.. I had fun bbq-ing with you guys, tho I’m not the one to do the bbq-ing :D kekeke thx :p Really enjoyed my day especially meeting up with Dakie and Sly and other new friends :) And winning the dota game and spending the night at the beach and the stories too! Oh yah, one more thing to talk about… it was my blueberry cheesecake! 2nd time I made it and some people just said it’s not so cheesy and he ate 2 slices, who is Ah Foo (dumped the cake when I made for the very 1st time, Grrrrr >.<"). This reminds me of something, the last thing we did at the beach besides cleaning up, was collecting $$ (for me) and paying me $$ (for them) :D Everybody that attended the bbq party was supposed to pay up 15bux for the food and drink etc, but got people just payed me 11bux (sibei kiam siap) *cursing* and some people payed but ate less and even bought some water/ice cubes without asking for $$ (this I gotta mention the names = Steven and Lumi) Thx alot :) Hehehe.. thx to Gary for offering me rides to and fro :P Neway, that's all I have to say (cos I'm too lazy to type anymore) Chiaoz ;)

KL Trip 4-6 Aug 2006

*~Ooops… I deleted the previous posts cos its way to messy! ~ I copied and pasted back in here ~*

Hmm… 1st post for my little bloggie here (it’s good that I’m sitting here and start blogging) :D Just came back from KL yesterday, went shopping whole day (Window Shopping to be exact ;p) with my ErJie and Galvin KorKor ~ Thx Kor for taking us here and there ;) ~ Oh yah, it’s my 2nd time boarding in an airplane - AirAsia with the reasonable air fares - Ah you know what? There was a delay for the arrival of Flight AK6317 to KL (only an hr tho) *arghh* Me and my sis were like yawning while waiting and the stupid chairs there aren’t even comfortable to sit! After the tiredsome of waiting, the plane finally arrived around 1125pm. Took a nap in the plane with a fatty charbor who sat beside my sis doing Sudoku (oh she’s pro in that, she did it real fast) and I had a sit just beside the window~ Nice night view down there~ (the lights on the street lar! What were you thinking huh?! :p)

And the next day (-5-8-06-), it’s the walk-a-whole-day-shopping! kekeke :D ~ We went all the way to Central Market to buy some stuffs, what I see the things there are just like what I saw in Bali’s Ubud Market, but there’s only one thing you can’t do in Central Market which is PRICE-BARGAINING!! Haha, back in Bali, we dropped the price way down low just to get the affordable prices :p I saw a Punjabi-kinda-long-shirt which was so nice but it just not meant for a body like mine, not that I’m fat but broad sholders (couldn’t wear the size which fits my body as well as the size that fits my shoulders) LoL.

The following destination was Suria KLCC’s KinoKuniya (let me do some Jap explanation here ~ kino = yesterday, kuni = country, ya = shop so it becomes YesterdayCountryShop! kakaka! Well, kinokuniya means large bookstore tho kekeke :P ) As I’m a big fan of books, the books in the shop made me almost fainted! Pengz! It’s just way toooooo many books to see! Haha, the books are quite expensive tho, but never be stingy to buy bookz! We had lunch at Burger King and yeah there was Garfield mascot shaking his ass here and there! LoL ~ Me and my sis eventually got attracted to his ass-shaking skill tho, jumped ourself beside Garfield for Kor to capture a photo :D kakaka ~ Hmm, the burgers in BK was nice and some stupid acts from Me made my sis and Kor laughed their asses off! While Kor was shooting a picture of mine, my burger went *Splattt* on the table!! LMAO ~ haha! Luckily it “splatted” on the burger’s paper tho, so it wasnt really wasted away. kakaka ~ damn funny!

Later hor, we headed to 1U~ Lotsa things to see! I like to go! lol.. Browsing so many shops but I can’t just get myself a nice blouse or shirt or whatever! zZz >.<" Some aren't what I wanted, some are over my budget and some of them just too LaLa! Or it is Me being too choosy :p (well everybody is). After a while of walking, we saw somebody is doing a "fan-session" and guess who she is!! Amber Chia!! A pretty, sexy and cool topmodel! I'm lucky to get a photo with her and a poster of hers! Kekeke ;) Mm.. we then went to Strangers Bbq Steamboat somewhere in Petaling Jaya. Nice food ~ I ate alot tho :D Was darn hungry cus walking whole day arhh!! Burned all the fats and energy in me! keke :p

What’s Next? I begin to feel boring and tired to type! lol… That’s normal for a lazy gal like me :D ~ Uhmm.. oh yeah, I remembered, we went to IKEA after steamboat! It’s a shopping spree there too! See what Buy what :p It’s a huge shop - lotsa things to see and buy until there’s an announcement “Please make your last purchase as we are going to be closed in 15min!” LoL everyone was like rushing to the cashiers but there’s still some people that doesn’t really care and still lepak-ing around looking for this and that! Bad citizens :P

Next Morning! *yawnz* *yawnz again* damn sleepy ~ no where to go already cos gotta be in airport by 1240pm! It’s time to go home ~ Home Sweet Home ~ Another funny thing happened tho, there’s an announcement again in airport “Paging for Ang May Fong & Ang May Yen, please proceed to gate 12 for immediate boarding” Lmao! Everybody was cursing there I think! Who cares! lol :p Guess I’ll stop here ~ chiaoz ;)
